Thursday Doors- Santorini, Greece

Today I am linking up with Norm 2.0 for his weekly Thursday Doors.  According to Norm, “Thursday Doors is a weekly feature allowing door lovers to come together to admire and share their favorite door photos from around the world.”

I’m drawing from my recent Santorini trip because the colors there are breathtaking!

Cee’s Which Way Photo Challenge

Today I am joining in on Cee’s Which Way Photo Challenge.  I love a good challenge, especially when it involves photography.  I am no pro, but I do have fun snapping pictures!

According to Cee, this week’s challenge: “is all about capturing the roads, walks, trails, rails, steps, etc. we move from one place to another on.  You can walk on them, climb them, drive them, ride on them, as long as the specific way is visible.  Any angle of a bridge is acceptable as are any signs.”

My photo for this week is from my favorite place on Earth…Santorini, Greece.

This is a “stairway to heaven” (or perhaps a church), but I like to think it’s heaven since Santorini in my mind is as close as one can get to heaven on Earth.

#1 Bucket list item checked off! Santorini, Greece

Our European Adventure this summer had two parts…Rome and a Mediterranean Cruise.  The first stop on our cruise was  Santorini, Greece…AKA, HEAVEN!  For those of you who do not know about this beautiful wonderland, Santorini is the largest of the Greek islands and was formed by a massive volcanic eruption in the 16th century.

I am not ashamed to admit that I first heard of this gorgeous island when watching the movie, The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, many years ago.  It soon became #1 on my bucket list, but I honestly never thought I would get to check it off the list.

I was wrong…

Our European Adventure! Part 1: The Booking Details

This July my hubby and I celebrated 5 years of marriage and my 30th birthday.  We have had many wonderful memories in those 5 years, but we have also gone through tough times.  Infertility wears on a couple.  We decided we needed to reward ourselves for the strength we have shown over the years.  We wanted to treat ourselves and take a special trip that would really give us time to focus on each other and check off a few of bucket list items.
