It’s that time of year again! What time is that?
We are by no means professional gardeners. In fact in the past 4 years of living in our home, I would say we have not really moved past beginners. However, we LOVE gardening. Our yard gets great sun and my hubby is a master at hydrating everything.
I am a big fan of the flowers and greenery, whereas my hubby is all about the food. Surprise, surprise. 🙂 I believe my hubby took this picture of Bailey posing in front of some overgrown cilantro, onions, and basil. I’m not sure which my hubby is more proud of: the dog or the plants.
Flowers in our garden:
Hydrangeas, Azaleas, Zinnias, Daisies, Mums, Dahlia, Day Lilies, Hostas, Liriope, and some other random annuals
Food we have grown before:
Several varieties of tomatoes, cucumbers, squash, Romaine lettuce, spinach, watermelon, basil, cilantro, spring onions, mint, oregano, and a zillion kinds of peppers
As the desperately needed rain falls outside, I can’t help but think of the garden that will soon spring to life. Every year the garden is so unique. Perennials double in size and fresh annuals add a unique twist. Tomatoes and peppers always abound and the rest is a surprise. Who knows what this year’s garden will bring?
